What is Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea all about?
Morning tea is a great time for friends, family or workmates to come together, share a cuppa and some stories, and enjoy some delicious food.
20 years ago, Cancer Council decided to make morning tea official – with the last Thursday in May devoted to Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea!
Since, it’s become one of Australia’s favourite fundraisers – and every year, this popular event helps raise a staggering amount of money to help in the fight against cancer.
On this day – or any time during May – thousands of people from all over the country host morning tea events – in their homes, in the community, or at work. Small and large, formal and informal, these events rely on the passion, generosity and goodwill of both hosts and guests.
